We supply a wide range of contact lenses for different lifestyles
If you’re a long-term spectacle wearer, you’ll probably be familiar with the restrictions they can pose in certain situations. They might have a tendency to slip down your nose, get fogged up easily in warm environments and in some cases, become uncomfortable. If this is the case, maybe it’s time for you to consider contact lenses.
Just like glasses, contact lenses contain the prescription relevant to you to correct any sight problems you might have.
When you’re selecting your new lenses, there are a few choices to make. For example, you can choose between ‘soft’ or ‘hard’ contact lenses. Soft lenses are made of a flexible silicon hydrogel material, and are therefore extremely comfortable for extended wear. These types of lenses are available in daily, two-weekly or monthly varieties and must be stored in a special contact lens solution to prevent them from drying out.
By contrast, hard lenses keep their shape and so often last longer than soft lenses. They are more durable and more commonly available in longer lasting varieties rather than daily disposable options.
Toric lenses (for astigmatism), as well as bifocal and multifocal soft lenses, are also available.
If you decide to opt for contact lenses, rest assured that you will receive a full tutorial in inserting and removing your lenses from one of our fully qualified and experienced team. They will also give you tips about caring for your lenses to ensure they remain in good condition and last for as long as possible.
Many people are initially reluctant to try contact lenses because they are worried about having to place them directly onto their eyeball. However, the reality is that this technique quickly becomes second nature and causes no discomfort at all.
